Royal Park Hotel
Ginza, Tokyo, Japan
The commission was to create a landmark five star hotel in one of the most fashionable districts of Tokyo. The hotel occupied 14 floors within the Shiodome Tower, situated on the site of the old emperors’ gardens at the top end of Ginza.
From the creative use of stunning richly coloured natural stones in the lobby to the striking contrasts of veneer and leather in the restaurant and the specially commissioned Hepworth-esque sculptures, these beautiful and contemporary interiors are a modern Japanese classic.
*This project was designed and overseen by Chris Holmes whilst Director at Fox Linton Associates (no longer trading).
